Senior Backend Developer
The mission
You will own the backend of the systems we build for clients: growth platforms, automation pipelines, AI agents and SaaS products. You design the architecture, write most of the code, set the standard for the rest of the team, and make sure what ships is fast, observable and safe to change.
What you will do
- Design and build APIs, services and data models for SaaS and automation products
- Integrate third-party platforms: CRMs, payment providers, messaging, ad and analytics APIs
- Build reliable automation pipelines and AI agent workflows with monitoring and fallbacks
- Own databases, performance, security and deployment on cloud or VPS infrastructure
- Review code, mentor developers and keep the codebase clean as it grows
- Work directly with founders and clients to turn business goals into technical plans
What you bring
- 5+ years building production backends, with at least one system you ran end to end
- Deep experience in Node.js and TypeScript, or Python, plus the willingness to use the right tool
- Strong SQL and data modelling (PostgreSQL preferred), plus caching and queues
- Comfort with Docker, CI/CD, Linux servers and at least one cloud provider
- Experience with REST and webhooks; GraphQL, event-driven or LLM integrations are a plus
- Habit of writing tests, clear commits and documentation without being asked
- Clear written communication, and the judgement to push back when something is wrong
Nice to have
- Experience with n8n, Make or Zapier at scale, or building similar pipelines in code
- Mobile backend experience: subscriptions, push, App Store and RevenueCat integrations
- Shipped a SaaS product or an open-source project people use
